Great day Lake Erie Charter Fishing for Walleye & Perch aboard the WEISS GUY
Had a fantastic group from Illinois on our Lake Erie Charter Boat today. We caught several Yellow Perch and some nice Walleye. One Walleye weighed in at 9 lbs, 29" & is going on the wall instead of the table. Overall a beautiful September day on the water.

Kids enjoy catching catching Walleye from our Lake Erie Charter boat
You probably couldn't tell how much fun these boys had fishing from the looks on there faces. That's because they were wore out from 8 hours of fun & sun. The Walleye were biting again today at the Vermilion Weather Buoy. Nuff Said!

Lake Erie Walleye slower at the Vermilion weather buoy today
Well, it was bound to happen. Lake Erie Charter Fishing for Walleye slowed today. It wasn't bad, just not the limit catches we were experiencing earlier this week. We had severe thunder and lightning most of last night, so maybe that shut them down a bit. We marked them, so we know they are still there. Hopefully tomorrow we will improve. Giant Lake Trout Charter on light tackle, Stannard Rock, Lake Superior!
We took a couple of days off last weekend to travel to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, to go on a Fishing Charter ourselves. What a Charter it turned out to be! We went with Captain Dave Kimar, and Captain Phil. http://www.kimarscharters.com We rode 45 miles out into Lake Superior to famous Stannard Rock, in a beautiful 31' Tiara. Kimar's years of experience paid off as we caught several Lake Trout by Trolling, Casting & Jigging. Our favorite method was casting spoons with spinning rods to catch these Lake Superior Giants. Last weekend Walleye fishing at the Lake Erie Islands
Another great day on Friday! Saturday & Sunday were a little slower! Be back on Lake Erie this Thursday thru Sunday. Fishing is good right now, trolling is outperforming casting 6:1. 3 more weeks until we move east to Lorain for the second half of the season.

Fantastic fishing right now aboard the WEISS GUY!
Check out this fish board! These are all Walleye, with a couple trophy size Walleye in the middle. We also had 20 lbs. of White Bass that weren't able to fit on our fish board. Lake Erie Islands Charter Fishing Heating Up!
Fishing was excellent this weekend. Some warmer weather moved in on Sunday, making Lake Erie very enjoyable. The stable weather will continue to help our success the rest of this week. Phenomenal night last night fishing the night bite by my self.
With a Northeast wind and a buddy not able to go Walleye fishing last night, I thought I might be getting some much needed catch up sleep. WRONG! The wind laid down at sunset and switched SE. Told the wife at 9:30 that I would be out another night fishing, which was met with a displeasing look. I headed out alone around 10 PM and by 1:30 had caught my limit of Lake Erie Hawg Walleye. As I went to sleep around 4 AM; fish cleaned & froze, boat cleaned up & put away, I thanked God for the wonderful fishery that I am so fortunate to live so close too. LAKE ERIE. These Walleye were caught on a 4 hour Lake Erie Night Fishing Charter. 4 hour trips cost $150 for up to two people and we utilize our smaller boat for these trips. 1

Oak Harbor Reefs Report! Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Charter trips Port Clinton Ohio
This weekend was real tough. Saturday we struggled hard, but made up for it on Sunday. A lot of wind earlier in the week, coupled with a severe cold front made for a tough bite. Lake Erie Walleye Charter Fishing Report, Port Clinton - Oak Harbor Ohio
Fishing was really good over the weekend. With all the wind and rain last week Friday was pretty tough. With the fair weather the lake cleaned up quick over Saturday & Sunday, With near limit catches on Saturday & several limits caught on Sunday. All fish were caught on bare Hair Jigs, with the best colors being Purple & John Deer Green. Depths were from 8-14 foot of water in front of Wild Wings marina. http://lakeeriefishingadventures.com

Weekend recap of our Fishing Success aboard the WEISS GUY
We managed to do quite well this weekend despite the frequent wind changes that we had to deal with both days. I can't say enough about the sea worthiness of Sport Craft boats on Lake Erie. We were chugging along at 17 mph, directly into 4 footers, with a full crew. Both days Green or Purple Hair Jigs were the ticket. Contrary to all the bad fishing reports last week we did well. We caught fish as shallow as 7.5' & as deep as 14'.

Lake Erie Walleye fishing today!
We went out and test ran the WEISS GUY today and did a little fishing while we were at it. Boat ran well in solid 4 foot rollers out of the West. Lake ended up laying down but was still very muddy! We marked a lot of fish in several areas. Another day or two and conditions will be just right. Today I ran over to Erie Outfitters to check out the new Lowrance 12" touch screen. He didnt have one in stock, but said the dealer brought one over for them to check out. Apparently they are pretty awesome. If you get a chance check them out. Also the special order Beckman nets will be in this week.
