We did about the same as yesterday today, so they are still cooperating at this point. The weather was a little tougher today but the forecast is looking good for this week.

Fishing has finally started to pick up! Its been a very tough spring. We have been doing best trolling

I started out by launching the boat at Hot Waters in Lorain. Ran the boat 60 miles to Wild Wings to the for the Spring. I planned to pull some cranks at D Can area. Water was terribly muddy from Marblehead Light, almost to Tousaint Reef. Popped Hair Jigs on Tousaint, Little Pick, and Cone. Managed to hook and lose one fish between Little Pick and Cone. Water was cleanest at Tousaint. Marked the most fish on top of Cone. Spoke to another Captain that had a trip and they didn't catch a fish. They said good marks also they just couldn't get them to go. My boat looked like the Deadliest Catch, with all of the ice build up on it when I pulled in to the Marina in Oak Harbor. LOL

Fishing has been excellent! We are mostly trolling due to the calm weather we have been having. Only three more weeks and we will be moving to Spitzer River Marina in Lorain to finish out the fishing season. Hope to see some of you there. Today we did very good trolling spoons and Rapala J-7"s . The lake was very flat. Casters didn't do so well.

Today we struggled hard. The fish just didn't want to corporate. It was hot and sunny though. Little to no wind. Nice day to be on the water.

Today fishing was best at first light, tapering off, as the day went on. A few boats did well with weapons, so I think the Jig bite is almost over.

Fishing was a bit slow today as compared to our previous trips. We still managed 14 nice Walleye though! We will probably be switching to worms by next weekend.

Today we had to go out in very thick fog. We fished in it until about 10:30, before it lifted some. We got most of our trip in before a thunderstorm blew everyone off of the lake. We only had 3 customers on board and got 10 Walleye out of their 12 possible.

Today there was steady rain most of the day. Once the sun came out the wind picked up. We still managed to get all of our fish. The last few days the fishing has been excellent!

Today was a bit windy in the morning, calming down in the afternoon. We got all our Walleye it just took some time. The fishing is excellent right now.

With the water very cleaned up from the blow 2 days ago the Walleye bite was on Big Time today. Limits were caught early on Turtle Reef. This is the kind of spring Walleye fishing we are used too.

The water was very muddy from yesterdays big blow. The fishing was impossible in our normal areas. We ended up running 15 miles to Maumee Bay. The water was much cleaner up there. Most all the boats that made the run took limits of eater size Walleye.

Today was a good example of why it's called Fishing and not Catching. We had an afternoon Charter. The day started off optimistic with other Charters returning to the docks with limits of Walleye at 9:00 am. By around 10:30 the wind started blowing out of the SW as high pressure began to move in. We left the dock at 11:30 and returned at 6:30 only catching 8 Walleye. Other Charters with afternoon trips reported the same limited success. We struggled to keep our Jigs in contact with the bottom. All in all it was a warm south wind and high sun all day.

Fishing was steady and consistent today. We caught 15 of the 24 Walleye we could have kept before we decided to call it an early day. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed low pressure of weekday fishing. It's hard to beat Spring around here for catching Walleye in the shallows on Jigs & Blade Baits. Today several boats struggled to catch walleye, casting on the rocks. The grass is relentless, so trying to troll is very tough. We ended up perching today West of West Reef. The fish were steady but small. We moved up to NW Reef and caught some bigger ones.

Today was the second toughest day this year. We only caught 3 keeper Walleye with a few throw backs, and several junk fish. We had two fathers with their 3 young sons on the boat. They had a great time despite the tough fishing. Each boy carried his own Walleye off of the boat, with the biggest smiles you could imagine.

What another great day. Again we got our limit trolling. The morning started out very with a very rough lake and we had to delay the trip until 9:00 AM. By the end of the day the lake the lake was very calm and it was warm and sunny.

What a Banner Day! We limited out by 10:00 AM. We continued to fun fish for the rest of the trip, catching over 50 Walleye for the day. Again trolling was the ticket due to a very calm lake.

Overall the fishing was a little bit slower than it has been. We dropped several fish teaching the customers to troll. They still had a great time taking home 12 Walleye. We also had a good amount of under size throwback Walleye.

Today we started out casting weapons. We only had 7 by 9:00 am. The trollers were doing well, so we decided to switch over. We ended up with 22 very nice fish before the trip was over. The lake was absolutely gorgeous today. There were a lot of boats out for the holiday weekend. I expect tomorrow to be the same.

Today the fishing was very tough we had to hunt around for clean water. We only ended up with 5 walleye, all caught off of the bottom.

Today we caught 99% of our fish on crawler harnesses. Bottom bouncers caught most of the Walleye. We caught 18, wich is half of our customers limit. All in all a pretty good day.

Today was the toughest day I've had in a few years. The wind started out slow and turned west and brutal. We only caght one Walleye, and more Sheephead than I care to admit. Some say that’s just fishing. Even though we tried hard, I am still disappointed.

We started out jigging on Tousaint Reef and only caught 7. Since the wind was dead calm, we went between Crib & Flatrock trolling. We ended up with 41 fish total, with several doubles and a few tripples.

Today was a beautiful day on the water. Warm, Sunny, & Calm. The problem was that the fish didn't cooperate again. Half of the fish came in the first hour, and the other half the rest of the day. We only boated 14 Walleye. We did best just south of Turtle Reef in 13 FOW.

Today it was beautiful on the lake. No wind and a sunny 68. We had 4 customers and we were able to catch 3 of their limits. It was tough with no wind but we did ok. We lost at least 8 fish at the boat today.

Today the lake was calm after a 3 day blow and cold front went through. It was very muddy. We struggled today to catch fish. We ran a total of 45 miles to find some fish that would bite. We never really got them going good. It was a beautiful day to be on the water, and we through back some under sized Walleye.

Today we had to fish hard for them. After the blow, the lake was muddy and stirred up. We managed to find some clean water inside of K-Can. My 4 Customers limited out with 16 Walleye. They caught bigger fish today, with one 5.5 pounder and one 6
pounder.

We went right to L can today. My customers limited out in about 2.5
hours. They continued to fun fish for about 2.5 more. Hair Jigs, no
particular color. A great day fishing! The Walleye bite is on.

Trolled around Big Pickeral, and Cone with no takers. Good marks.
Got a report that they did good N of B can 3 miles.
We ended up Jigging on Little Pickeral, Cone, and Turtle 21.6 FOW
was best. We brought in 10 Walleye with 3 customers on the boat today.
